A little bit about me...
Nickname: CJ, Shorty, Rissole
So... you're probably thinking. How does a girl like me, get into a sport like WRESTLING?
Well, I was introduced by my brother Justin when I was only nine years old. Now being a nine year old, I was not very active nor was I very fit. Let's put it this way, I was the VERY lazy and very unfit. I came last at EVERY single cross country in primary school. But the biggest thing that battled me at the time was the fact I was severely bullied. Bullied physically, bullied emotionally and bullied verbally as well. It got to the extent that I couldn't even show my face at school because I was too afraid. I had scratches and bruises going up my arms and legs and I tried to hide it by covering it up with bandaids and long clothing. But worst of all, I always covered everything up with a smile. So no one actually knew the extend of damage it was doing to me at the time. It ruined my childhood. So when I was introduced to wrestling, it was definitely a blessing in disguise for me and something that changed my life FOREVER!
It gave me CONFIDENCE. The confidence I needed to stand up for myself and to be proud of who I am.
I won my first National title when I was 10, started travelling the world competing by the time I was 13 and I now stand with 16x National Titles, multiple International medals and last year I got to represent my country on one of the biggest stages of all - THE 2014 COMMONWEALTH GAMES. And I know, that this is only the BEGINNING of my journey!
So as you can see, I've used this NEGATIVE experience in my life and used it as my fuel and motivation and changed it into a positive. I believe that allthough this was the most daunting part of my life, it also changed me into the person I am today. I am a now an Health and Lifestyle advocate and my biggest GOAL in life is to make a positive impact in others.
I've been helping hundreds of people change through mentoring programs, nutrition, exercise and ultimately achieve better health... For me, there is no other feeling than knowing that you have been able to change someones life for the better.
The question is, will you let me help you?
Looking forward to sharing your health and fitness journey with you!
